What types of Business might benefit from a receivership?

All kinds!  There is no limitation under Oregon law for Oregon receiverships but, in general, there are additional considerations and complications to using a receivership for certain kinds of businesses, such as healthcare. At 2S Management, we have worked with many kinds of businesses. Here’s just a few examples:

2S Management draws on the experience and network of contacts of receiver and attorney Loren Scott.  We use Scott Law Group for legal representation, which is required for a receivership done through a state court receivership proceeding under the Oregon Receivership Code. We can also assist in out-of-court options, such as an “assignment for the benefit of creditors” (or “ABC”), in which the agent’s role is defined by an agreement among the parties.
